In clinical practice we are often faced with patients presenting with elbow pain. What on first glance is a simple joint to assess & treat, often rears its obstinate head with multiple complexing presentations, histories of persistent pain & often hyperalgesia with associated contributing factors from other neural, vascular & musculo-skeletal structures. Certainly, an efficient, clearly clinically reasoned assessment is the cornerstone of making the correct diagnosis & structuring the optimal management plan for best outcomes.
In this live recording of the webinar, I discuss & / or demonstrate the following:
- Best practice history taking with key questions pertinent to the elbow
- The importance of the PRTEE questionnaire
- Detailed objective testing, bearing in mind that all tests should ‘make sense’ & that often ‘less is more’
- Lots of elbow-specific tips & tricks
An elbow-specific assessment form will be available for you to download & use to assess patients presenting to your clinics with elbow pain.
Highly recommended. Excellent anatomy revision as well as assessment techniques.
