Course Outline
In Part 2 we review current practice and evidence regarding early mobilisation and the use of orthoses like collars and braces. Consideration is given to post-operative movement restrictions implemented from the acute phase. Important biomechanical implications, along with complications of spinal surgery are discussed. We look at some practical examples for rehabilitation; and offer recommendations for best practice within a comprehensive biopsychosocial framework.
