Course Description

The use of varying terminology and different diagnostic criteria when it comes to muscle injuries, results in the miscommunication between healthcare professionals resulting in poor management outcomes for our athletes and sedentary individuals. The purpose of these two presentations is to try standardise the use of set terminology, grading systems and structured management plans in order to not only stimulate further research, but to improve rehabilitation programs and reduce the recurrence rate of muscle injuries in athletes and sedentary individuals.

Part 2 of this presentation follows on from part 1, where we apply the previous learnt classifications to their respective treatment and  rehabilitative management strategies and principles.
