Course Description
Part 2 – The Classification and Management of Muscle Injuries in Sport.
The use of varying terminology and different diagnostic criteria when it comes to muscle injuries results in the miscommunication between healthcare professionals resulting in poor management outcomes for our athletes and sedentary individuals. The purpose of these two presentations is to try standardise the use of set terminology, grading systems and structured management of muscle injuries in athletes and sedentary individuals in order to not only stimulate further research but to improve rehabilitation programs and reduce the recurrence rate of muscle injuries in these individuals.
These courses cover the different types of injuries, phases of the injuries and the phases of the rehabilitation – making the medical and physiotherapy management very specific and thorough. Be sure to watch Part 2 – a follow on from Part 1.
I enjoyed how specific the tips were for managing muscle injuries in sports.
