Course Description
Part 1 – Terminology, Classification and Grading of Muscle Injuries in Sport
The use of varying terminology and different diagnostic criteria when it comes to muscle injuries, results in the miscommunication between healthcare professionals resulting in poor management outcomes for our athletes and sedentary individuals. The purpose of these two presentations is to try standardise the use of set terminology, grading systems and structured management plans in order to not only stimulate further research, but to improve rehabilitation programs and reduce the recurrence rate of muscle injuries in athletes and sedentary individuals.
These courses cover the different types of injuries, phases of the injuries and the phases of the rehabilitation – making the medical and physiotherapy management very specific and thorough. Be sure to watch Part 2 – a follow on from Part 1.
I enjoyed learning about the Munich Consensus and how user friendly it is. This is super helpful to me as I work towards improving my diagnostic skills and being precise in sports physiotherapy.
