Compassion fatigue, stress and burnout were occupational hazard in the helping professions prior to COVID-19. However, the pandemic has brought additional issues such as moral injury, pre-Traumatic Stress Disorder and Burn-in to the fore, issues that both healthcare providers and their client base will be facing. The gift in the COVID-19 storm has been an increased awareness of both mental health and the ethical issues surrounding it. This talk looks at each of these issues, their impact psychologically and physically and possible ethical implications.
