Dr Van Zuydam has been part of the professional peloton since late 2012 when he joined Team MTN Qhubeka as a team physician. He later became the head doctor at the team and subsequently moved to Team UAE Emirates as a team doctor. He is the veteran of 4 Tours de France, 3 editions of the Giro d’Italia and twice a doctor at the Vuelta Espana. From the Paris-Roubaix and Milan-San Remo to Malaysia, Australia and even Gabon; his work has earned him a few frequent-flyer miles!
