Course Objectives
This webinar will be a practical, skills-based training session that can equip physiotherapists and other health care professionals with the tools and confidence to manage challenging client interactions, maintain professional boundaries, and respond appropriately to emotional distressed or dysregulated clients.
Allied health care professionals frequently encounter patients who may be distressed, frustrated, or emotionally dysregulated in ways that affect their engagement in therapy and rehabilitation. This can even lead to disruptive and disconcerting situations within a practice space. Managing these interactions can be challenging, particularly when clients display demanding, confrontational, or inappropriate behaviours, or when professional boundaries become difficult to maintain.
